What is the best way to get from Logan Airport to the Hilton Hotel in Dedham?

We will be flying in on a Thursday around 5 pm so I am worried about renting a car at the airport and trying to drive in rush hour traffic. Are there car rental places nearer to Dedham that a person could take a cab to and then rent the car? Other ideas?What is the best way to get from Logan Airport to the Hilton Hotel in Dedham?
You are in luck. You do not need a car!!!!!! There is a commuter rail station right next to the Dedham Hilton.





Take the Silver Line express trolley-bus from the airport to South Station. Then take the next train on the Franklin Line.


Your get-off station will be Dedham Corporate Center station, which is either either the 6th, 5th or 4th stop, depending on the particular train.

I do hope if you got my initial Answer since I wrote it that you will get back and re-read (alas you do not allow direct email) - I goofed as to the name of the station next to the Hilton. Dedham is a pretty far trek for an airport cab in rush hour, although they may be far enough for a fixed-fee instead of meter fare. Call your hotel to see if they can recommend a shuttle service. The Hilton has complimentary shuttle service for 5 mile radius which won't include the airport but will include car rental spots.
yes... your best bet would be to take the commuter rail to the 128 train station. I know for a fact that the Hilton runs a shuttle (you'll just need to call) from the train station, because I had my engagement party there and that is what my guests did.
Do yourself and the locals a favor. Take a cab to your hotel.There you can make agreements. Or, while you're on a computer........
