It depends on the time of day you arrive.
During rush hour, it will take you around an hour and 30 minutes to go from Noi Bai International Airport to Hanoi

During non-rush hour, around 45 minutes.
Hanoi Hotel is pretty nice (I'm friends with the owners and managers).
Lots of good shopping in the area.
