My husband and I have booked a last minute trip to NY leaving out this Sat. Nov 22 and coming home on Nov 25th. We are flying into LGA airport and wanted to know the best transportation to take to get to our hotel, Roosevelt Hotel, (Madison and 45th) Any suggestions?

For two people with luggage, I'd take a taxi. It's not much more than two tickets on the airport bus and it's easier. Get a yellow cab at the cab stand in front of the terminal. You pay the amount on the meter, plus the bridge or tunnel toll. Give the driver a 10% tip, driving a taxi is a tough job. The fare+toll will be $30 or so.
If you don't like taxis, the airport service bus will take you to Grand Central, at Park and 42nd, which is about a five minute walk from your hotel.
The weather will be fairly cold, probably just above or below freezing. Dress warmly and have a good time.Transportation from LGA airport to our hotel in New York?

Best hassle free way is a cab. I don't recommend anything else unless you know the buses and subways well.
