Best way to go to Marriott Marble Arch Hotel from Heathrow Airport, and from the hotel to Excel Center London?

This is our first trip to London. We would like to have the most efficient way to reach the hotel from the airport, and then to and fro rom hotel to the Excel Center London for the next few days. Days of visit are: 20 November 2009 - 25 November 2009. There are altogether 3 of us.Best way to go to Marriott Marble Arch Hotel from Heathrow Airport, and from the hotel to Excel Center London?
The Marriot Marble Arch is less than half a mile from Paddington Station. Take the Heathrow Express train from Heathrow to Paddington and then a taxi. If you have handluggage only walk down Praed Street from Paddington to Edgware Road; the Marriot is near the junction of George Street and Edgware Road. www.heathrowexpress.com

To reach the Excel Centre from central London take the Underground Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf Station and walk from there or transfer on to the Docklands Light Railway to Custom House

(Please note that due to ongoing engineering work the Jubilee Line may not operate on Saturday and Sunday to be replaced by buses. See www.tfl.gov.uk)Best way to go to Marriott Marble Arch Hotel from Heathrow Airport, and from the hotel to Excel Center London?
Taking a cab/taxi may not be the cheapest way, but I am assuming that the 3 of you are likely to have quite some travel luggage to carry with you. As such, you can consider paying for a cab/taxi for maximum convenience to get from place to place.

If however you are willing to rough it out and be more adventurous despite having your travel luggage, there is the coach from the relevant airport to the city, wherein you can thereafter transfer to the tube or bus to the hotel.
