What is a good 4 or 5 star hotel near the Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok?

We also plan to go to Chatuchak and other tourist spots that is accessible to commute or subway...any suggestions for places to go and what means of transpo is best to tour these places? What is a good 4 or 5 star hotel near the Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok?
I can't recommend a 4 or 5 star hotel because I never stayed in one. But I can tell you that staying at a hotel near the airport is not a good idea. It is abut 40 to 45 km from the main tourist areas of Bangkok. You should get a hotel that is close to the skytrain and not the airport. Check this website for hotels http://www.sawadee.comWhat is a good 4 or 5 star hotel near the Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok?
Get a hotel closer to the city. The airport is way out in the sticks. If you intend to visit Chatuchak and other places in Bangkok stay in Bangkok! Get a hotel near or at the Skytrain and use the Skytrain to get you around town. No Skytrain stops near the Airport just yet. Chatuchak is right near a Skytrain stop, same for MBK and Patpong night market.

If you have a hotel near the airport you would waste time and money making long commutes. There are lots of good hotels on the Skytrain route. Taxi from Suvarnabhumi to the city will take around 30 minutes maybe 35 minutes.

Here is a couple places you can check out, both are at Skytrain stops.

Pathwumwan Princess:

Asia Hotel is another hotel right at a Skytrain stop.

The Asia is in a ';no bar'; area where it is an easy walk to shopping on Phetchaburi Road such as malls, street vendors and a mini garment center near the Baiyoke Tower Hotel.

Other hotels available in the Siam or Sukhumvit area and elsewhere:

Good luck.
I stayed at the new Novotel a couple of months ago and it is first class. You get to the main terminal via an underground walkway so no worrying about taxis etc!! It also has the largest hotel lobby in the world!!

For an airport hotel it is brilliant; not somewhere you would spend 2 weeks, but that is not the function of airport hotels. How long are you staying? If more than 3 nights would say get something more central, but from Novotel, best way to get about is private taxi or hotel car.

I paid a rate of 拢65 a night - expensive for Th but about average ofr airport area
I would recommend Avoid Chatuchak its hot and busy Not really touristy unless you want something there ? If you are planning on going back to Bkk then go another time maybe I have been a couple of times and bought nothing went with my GF she got nothing too jsut her freinds really The best Hotel for me is Amari Atrium its tops Smart very clean great food free shuttle service and think they run a bus to Chatuchak And also the night marlets and into Bkk itself ie MBK will keep you busy there all day for shopping and up marlket Emporium Yes its a little out of the way but you want some peace and quiet :) And a Taxi is 15 minutes to the centre of Surkuhmvit area and take a BTS Skytrain or MRT Anywhere you want they run buses to there also I think every 30 minutes

You can get a great Jacuzzi there and Sauna I dont know where you are coming from But check agoda.com for reviews

Price in Uk is about 50 Uk pounds

If you want a lower price I stay Royal Asia Soi 8 thats off Surkuhmvit and can get a tuktuk free service to the Main Road for the Bts price abuot 20 uk per night I think web price

Airports about 30 40 minutes away if you stay that area you are cutting yourself off best to get into BKK central areas and a Taxi is 400 baht Walk to the taxi service area just follow the crowds and you get a ticket and off you go !!

Have a great time I am back again next month woooooooo!!!!!!!!

When you get a taxi you can ask the driver if he wlll drive you around for the day or an afternoon I guess 1000 baht would cover that most journeys are about 100 baht for about 20 mins I average at that

well, if you stay more than 2 days, then I think you don't need to stay near airport cuz it is really far from city though. you may find some hotel near city (or in city) or your trip but booking only last night near airport if you are afraid of missing your flight.... Use this map to help you looking for hotel... very convenience, got lowest rate guarantee too. you can compare with other site... http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Hotels鈥?/a> if you still looking for somewhere near airport, i would also recommend Novotel too... just next to airport.. walkable.. very nice %26amp; easy.. have a nice trip...
Hi,

you can go through the following site for some economical hotel you are looking for near airport. But its better if you take a hotel in the city as the airport is quiet far from the main city.

Try the following site that might help : http://www.quickbooker.com/
