The airport is pretty far away from downtown San Fran. I just recently went to San Francisco, and yes, the Embassy Hotel is definitely a good and safe place to stay. When I was there, my family and I went shopping obviously, but we also went to Pier 39. It has lots of cool shops and great dining. I recommend going to Alcatraz, because we went there and it was very interesting and a great experience. I was glad we went. Have fun and hope I helped!
That is more of a hotel for business travelers, there is nothing around there and it isn't even in SF, actually its about 10 mi from downtown SF. And yes it is a safe area. Its going to be a journey just to get to SF.
You are taking a trip to Burlingame?? Why? You should get a hotel in SF. And yes it is very very safe.
