Is it safe to ride the Metro from downtown Seattle to our hotel by the airport at night?

We would be coming back around 11pm on Saturday. Is it safe to ride the Metro from downtown Seattle to our hotel by the airport at night?
Metro is pretty safe. There are, however, some problem routes. The local route that services the airport is one of them. The #174 that actually travels down International Boulevard (or Pacific Highway South, or whatever they are calling that part of 99 now) and makes stops there has some fairly rough people riding it. Mostly because the neighborhood just beyond the airport is not so nice.

The #194 is the airport express. I'd ask the driver of the #194 if he/she stops at your hotel. If not, I'd catch it anyway and take a short taxi trip from the airport... to be on the safe side.Is it safe to ride the Metro from downtown Seattle to our hotel by the airport at night?
i take this bus to the airport late at night if the #194 bus isn't running anymore. it is safe once you are on the bus but a lot of drunks and smelly people ride it and it gets crowded.

the worse part of taking buses to the airport is waiting on the buses downtown with luggage. lowlifes know you are bogged down with luggage and they might think you are a tourist who has money and they might hassle you. you should be ok once on the bus.
Metro is safe in general. You should be fine as long as you take the usual precautions...sit near the front, be aware of your surroundings, don't count your money on the bus or flash your gigantic diamond rings...in other words, don't be stupid. Same precautions you would take in any city on any form of public transit.
I would say it is safe. I ride Metro all the time and while some of the buses seem a bit ';sketchy';, you don't really run into problems and there are cameras for surveillance on a lot, if not all, of the buses. I can't remember offhand, what bus that is, but a lot of graveyard Seatac Airport employees may be joining you on the ride.
That route doesn't really even feel safe during the day. I've riden the 174 a few times, and considering it runs along Pacific Highway South, there are qutie a few characters on that bus. If you are taking that bus into downtown during the day, that will give you an idea of what it will be like during the night, only worse. Along that route are a number of cheap motels, and cheap apartment buildings, and its known for drug deals and prostitution.
