we dont want to take taxi coz we found out that taxi drivers are'nt trustworthy, can you give me info on express train tha fare and the time... pls help us.We are ten travelers to kuala lumpur.. how can we go the chepest way to dorset regency hotel from airport?
yup...you're right...taxi drivers in malaysia are very aren't trusworthy.........There are cases of them charging passengers rm200 from the airport to the city......That'e too much............so,i guess, the express train called KLIA express would be the best option....It's fast and reliable as it only takes exactly 28 minutes to reach to the heart of the city....compared to car which may takes you about an hour............The train will bring you all the way to KL SEntral which is the transportation hub of kuala lumpur from the airport.....From there ,there are numerous taxis that will take you to dorset rerency hotel/...

KLIA Ekspres is a non-stop, airport rail link service between Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral) and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia. The non-stop 57 kilometres trip between KL Sentral and KLIA takes around 28 minutes with the trains departing at 15-minute intervals during peak hours and 20-minute intervals during off-peak hours.

First train: 0500hrs

Last train: 0000hrs.

Peak Hours: 0500hrs - 0900hrs %26amp; 1600hrs - 2200hrs

Off-Peak Hours: 0900hrs - 1600hrs %26amp; 2200hrs - 0000hrs

Ticketing is done either by automated ticketing machines or by ticketing staff at the stations. A one-way trip would cost RM35 while the two-way trip would cost RM70. Travellers who purchase the two-way tickets are entitled to a 1-day free parking at the KL Sentral covered car park.

Validity of purchased tickets are as follows:

Standard One-Way Ticket: 1 year

Standard Two-Way Ticket: 1'st trip - 1 year; 2'nd trip - 3 months after 1'st trip

The KLIA Ekspres shares its tracks with the KLIA Transit, a commuter train service which also runs between KL Sentral and KLIA but stops at three intermediate stations. Malaysians often refer to both services as the Express Rail Link or ERL where Express Rail Link Sdn. Bhd. is the concessionaire for both services.

Both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit utilise the Desiro electrical multiple unit (EMU) trainset by Siemens AG. The trains run at a maximum commercial speed at 160km/h.

the KLIA Express is rather expensive for s group of 10 people. it'll cost RM350 total.

if you are from the low cost carrier terminal (LCCT), you can use the aerobus shuttle to get to the KL Sentral, which is the transit point for most buses and trains. the shuttle ticket costs RM9.

from there, you can use the SkyVans to get to the Dorsett Regency which is also RM9 per person. so, for 10 people, it's only RM180

but if you are from the KLIA, you can get a cab to the LCCT, i'm not sure if there's a shuttle service between KLIA and LCCT.
The taxis from the airport go by a coupon system which is purchased at counters within the airport. Prices are fixed for each destination by zones. So no problem being cheated. If you are travelling in a group it is the cheapest way to travel as you will divide the fare...

Or you could walk... Cheers!
Take a shuttel bus from KLIA to LCC-Terminal and then hop on into the ';Star Shuttle'; bus servis from there which will take you on a hotel to hotel stop and it cost only Rm 9 only per pax.

What time will you ';teans'; be arriving at KLIA so that i could give you the timing for the Star Shuttle servis.
Walk. It would take a very looooooong time, but it is the cheapest way. lol.
Taxi from airport to KL hotels are OK because you pre-pay at KLIA before boarding taxi. Cheapest way to KL would be by their train to KL and then by taxi to hotel.
